MobileHCI 2013 in Munich

GRAND is proud to sponsor the 15th annual MobileHCI 2013 conference in Munich, Germany (August 27-31). MobileHCI is the leading international conference on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) for mobile technologies, applications and services. The conference series is unique in bringing together researchers and practitioners in an informal and collaborative format.

This year, five papers from GRAND researchers are among the 22 selected for presentation at the multidisciplinary forum.

Collaborative Network Investigators (CNIs) Konstantin Beznosov (University of British Columbia), Sonia Chiasson (Carleton University), Derek Reilly (Dalhousie University), Anthony Tang (University of Calgary), and Jeremy Birnholtz (Northwestern University, USA) will  be presenting their research. Students in the network Ildar Muslukhov (UBC), Yazan Boshmaf (UBC), Martin Weigel (U of C), and Saul Greenberg (U of C) are also part of the presenting teams.

In January 2013, MobileHCI organizers announced GRAND Board member Dr. Sara Diamond, President of OCAD University, as the general co-chair for MobileHCI 2014 to be held in Toronto. Diamond will share the role with Professor Aaron Quigley from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland.
