The Graphics, Animation and New Media Network of Centres of Excellence (“GRAND”) is pleased to participate in STRONG, First Nations Technology Council's Summit of Technology, Resources, Opportunities, Networks and Growth, May 6-8, 2013 in Richmond, British Columbia. 

GRAND is a consortium of Canada’s top research universities working in the domain of digital media technologies and it acts as a bridge between the research community, the digital media industry and the public.  Our goals are to:

• Stimulate leading-edge innovation,
• Establish Canada as a global digital media technologies leader
• Create partnerships between Canada’s top researchers and the general community, and
• Promote entrepreneurship and digital media jobs creation.

We encourage First Nations Entrepreneurs and Youth to interact and engage with Canada’s researchers and ultimately to benefit from the development of innovative graphics, animations and new digital media emerging from Canada’s research universities. By working with GRAND, First Nations Entrepreneurs and Youth will gain access to:

• Digital media technologies,
• Highly qualified researchers and students to assist with technological development,
• Start-up company advice and support,
• Business mentoring,
• Connections to large and small gaming, animation and digital media industry, companies/partners, angel and venture capital firms, etc.
