Lyn Bartram is an Associate Professor in the School of Interactive Art and Technology at Simon Fraser University. She is a computer scientist with a background in humanities and perceptual psychology. Research interests include human-computer interaction, visualization, interaction design for energy conservation, and computational aesthetics. Her applied focus is on the use of information and computing technologies to promote sustainability, particularly in the home. Over the years she has participated in and led teams that built two leading edge net-zero homes, showcased to over 165,000 people. She is the Director of the Human-Centred Systems for Sustainable Living research team. She holds a PhD in Computing Science from SFU, an MMath from the University of Waterloo, and a BA (Political Science) from UBC.
