Dr. Catherine Middleton holds a Canada Research Chair (Communication Technologies in the Information Technology Society), and is a Professor in the Ted Rogers School of Information Technology Management at Ryerson University. Catherine received her PhD from the Schulich School of Business at York University. She is a co-author (with ITM colleagues Wendy Cukier, Ken Grant and Denise Shortt) of Innovation Nation, a book profiling successful Canadian technology entrepreneurs.

Catherine's research focuses on consumer/citizen adoption and usage of new communication technologies. Her current research projects include a study of the development of the Australian National Broadband Network, and a study of mobile phone usage in Canada.
